This long-term position involves:
* Teaching History at Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 depending on experience and subject expertise.

* Monitoring student progress through regular assessments, offering constructive feedback, and preparing them for GCSE exams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and high-quality History lessons that spark curiosity and critical thinking.
* Teach across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5 History based on experience and qualifications.
* Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring that every learner is supported and challenged.
* Prepare students for GCSE exams with tailored revision sessions and focused teaching strategies.
* Contribute to curriculum development within the History Department and collaborate on cross-curricular initiatives.
* Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that promotes respect, active learning, and a love of history.
* Uphold school behavior policies and manage classroom dynamics effectively.
* Participate in extracurricular activities and wider school life, encouraging student engagement beyond the classroom.
* Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure positive outcomes for all students.
Candidate Profile:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent overseas teaching qualification.
* A degree in History or a related Humanities discipline.
* Proven experience teaching History at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
* Strong subject knowledge in History and a passion for making the past relevant to today’s learners.
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
* A commitment to student safeguarding and their well-being.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
