A quick look at the role
Reporting directly to the Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile plant, including a 360 excavator and a dozer, as well as housekeeping, basic maintenance, and record-keeping activities. All tasks must be carried out in compliance with site licences, PPC Permits, and health and safety legislation.
Your core responsibilities
1. Operate mobile plant, including a 360 excavator and a dozer
2. Stockpile materials, feed the process plant, store finished products, and load outgoing vehicles
3. Carry out housekeeping and basic maintenance activities as directed by the Foreman and Site Manager
4. Complete daily operations and regular inspections of site infrastructure
5. Control vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely in all internal areas
6. Liaise with BWS and external hauliers to ensure timely dispatch of materials from site
7. Support site management in minimising downtime and maximising throughput by ensuring timely supply of consumables
