Are you passionate about data, detail-oriented, and eager to make a real impact? We’re looking for a proactive Data Steward who will capture our technical requirements, catalogue and clearly define our data items, and champion data governance and quality across our organisation.
What You’ll Do:
* Work with data owners across the business to understand their data requirements and the overlaps and differences between datasets
* Document key datasets, regulatory returns, business reports, and Power BI structures
* Develop and maintain our data glossary and report catalogue
* Standardise data terms and translate between business and technical teams
* Act as a key point of contact for data owners, stakeholders, and users
* Map our data landscape and data lineage
What We’re Looking For:
* An analyst’s mindset – the ability to question a requirement from multiple angles until it is fully understood and clearly documented
* The ability to translate technical concepts for business users
* Attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of data quality
* The ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
* Curiosity and initiative
* Tenacity and problem-solving skills
Requirements:
* Strong written and spoken communication skills
* Demonstrable knowledge of data structures and flows
* Proven experience within a data team
* Ability to analyse data and investigate issues thoroughly
* Ability to read SQL (no development required)

Salary and working hours
Starting salary £40,000.00 per annum
Monday to Friday 8:45am - 5:00pm (36.25 hours per week)
Hybrid working, typically 1 - 2 days per week from our Head Office (Cambridge)
