Engineering Administrator
What You Will Do
Join our Fire & Security team as an Engineering Administrator, where you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our Engineering Department. This is a hybrid role, with core office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at our Sunbury-on-Thames office. You'll provide essential support to the Engineering team, Regulatory team, and management, helping us deliver high-quality service across the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting Engineering and management with administrative tasks and documentation.
* Preparing reports, maintaining accurate databases, and managing records.
* Assisting with regulatory processes, applications, and declarations.
* Handling office administration: mail, supplies, travel, and meeting arrangements.
* Coordinating maintenance of office and engineering equipment.
* Assisting with financial tasks such as invoicing, purchase orders, and month-end duties.
* Liaising with Finance and other teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
What We Are Looking For
* Strong administrative experience, ideally 5+ years in a similar role
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and basic accounting principles
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Adaptable, motivated, and quick to learn new systems and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience of working in an engineering, distribution centre, or factory environment is beneficial.
* NVQ/SVQ or equivalent in Business & Administration.
