Reed Practice are proud to be recruiting for a firm of chartered accountants who have been in operation for 50+ years. They are seeking to add a Senior Accounts Manager to their esteemed team. The candidate will be responsible for the effective management of a portfolio of accounting & business clients together with conducting ad hoc special assignments as requested by the partners.
Duties include but are not limited to:
1. To manage the accounting requirements of a varied client portfolio.
2. To meet own individual performance level criteria/objectives such as chargeable %, recoverability etc and also review/manage individual performance level criteria/objectives of staff under your supervision.
3. To manage the completion of accounts, business tax computations, corporation tax computations and draft corporate tax returns to a satisfactory standard for review/agreement by the partner(s) dealing with the clients.
4. To take a lead role in the planning and monitoring of the workflow, and the effective financial management, of accounts work within the office.
5. To set time and fee budgets for all work within the portfolio and for the activities of reporting staff including monitoring/checking time spent against budget.
6. To have input to fee quotes and to prepare bills/invoices for partner approval as required.
