Monday to Friday with Saturdays on a rota
Salary £26,945 per annum plus pension and company benefits. Salaries will be increased on 1 April 2026 as part of the company pay review.
We have a great opportunity for a Driver with Retail Sales Advisor duties to join the team at our Brewers Decorator Centre in Bristol to provide exceptional service to our customers in store. You will play a vital part in keeping the branch and its delivery service running smoothly. Experience with our products isn’t strictly necessary; if you bring great customer service and team‑working skills, we’ll give you everything you need to succeed.
Conveniently located on St Johns Lane in Bedminster, the Bristol Decorator Centre has been supplying the local community with decorating supplies for over 20 years. In‑store we carry a vast range of trade and designer paints, wallpaper pattern books, and all the tools and accessories our customers need. Our friendly and knowledgeable team has been sharing expert advice and making recommendations for many years. Branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 7 am‑5 pm and Saturday 8 am‑5 pm.
Responsibilities
* Make contactless deliveries to customers in and around the Bristol area driving our Company Transit van.
* Provide exceptional service to customers in branch to deliver upon our reputation for quality Brewers service.
* Use product knowledge to provide recommendations and help customers find the best product for their needs.
* Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the Branch network.
* Develop sales of the Company product range including wallpaper, paint and fabric.
* Build relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and allow us to provide a comprehensive service.
* Promote seasonal and special items, including merchandising goods in‑store to increase visibility and sales.
* Assist with stock maintenance in the branch.
* Unload deliveries and ensure stock is distributed throughout the store.
Qualifications
* Familiar with Bristol and the surrounding area.
* Full clean manual driving licence.
* Exceptional customer service and communication skills, to understand and translate customer requirements into product recommendations.
* Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality – happy to help both customers and colleagues.
* Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can always be relied upon to work as an individual.
* Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within the industry.
* Previous retail experience or product knowledge would be advantageous but not essential; full training will be given to the right candidate.
