SALARY:£67,023-£81,917
LOCATION:Bristol, Birmingham, Chester, Edinburgh, Halifax, Leeds & Manchester
HOURS: Full Time – 35 hours per week
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid – at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, in office

We want technology risk to be described in the right language, owned by the right people, and surfaced in the rightdecision makingforums. We want to move beyond process and help leaderstruly understandthereal worldimpact of technology risk on our customers.
We’reusing operational data to understand our risk position inreal-timeand track how our exposure is changing. And as we adopt new, exciting technologies,we’reensuring robust technical guardrails are in place making it easy for engineers to do the right thing, and harder to do the wrong thing.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Core Skills & Competencies
5. Strong operational experience in IT systems risk within complex or financial environments.
6. A solid grasp of technology risk, with the ability to assess risk, design controls, shape policy and balance risk and reward.
7. Practicalexpertisein areas such as:
8. Mobile application engineering and security
9. Distributed network design and resilience
10. Or broad exposure across asset management, service management, cloud, DevOps, engineering, resilience, networking, storage, operating systems,virtualisationand containerisation.
11. Curiosity about emerging technologies including AI, DistributedLedgerand Quantum — and how they reshape risk.
Risk & Governance Expertise
12. Deep understanding of operational risk frameworks,regulationsand industry standards.
13. Experience setting Group level policy, defining risk appetite and monitoring exposure.
14. Ability to interpret complex information,identifytrends and make clear recommendations.
15. Forward looking insight into new regulation, emergingrisksand evolving technology.
Influencing & Leadership
16. Proven experience partnering across Risk Owners, ControlOwnersand Control Offices.
17. Strong awareness of roles across the three lines of defence, acting as a trusted Operational Risk expert.
18. Ability to shape data led controlobjectivesand engage confidently with regulators.
19. A collaborative leader who can coach,influenceand connect risk thinking to long term business goals.
