Housekeeping Lead
Location: Saxon Clinic, Milton Keynes. Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, permanent position. Salary up to £28,000 per year (depending on experience, training and qualification).
Overview
Join the Housekeeping department at the Saxon Clinic, part of Circle Health Group. As Housekeeping Lead you will manage the housekeeping team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety for patients, visitors and staff.
Duties / Responsibilities
* Lead the housekeeping team and ensure Circle Health Group’s high standards of cleanliness are maintained.
* Ensure the environment is safe and pleasant for patients, visitors and employees.
* Undertake duties related to the provision of housekeeping services.
* Ensure all associated housekeeping duties are carried out effectively and efficiently.
* Remain flexible to business needs and guarantee all areas of housekeeping are adequately staffed in line with demand.
* Ensure cleaning and servicing of all hospital areas (clinical and non‑clinical, including Theatre) to required standards and procedures.
* Manage the linen contract and collaborate with the linen provider as required.
* Collect and appropriately handle used (soiled and fouled) or infectious linen and distribute clean linen to wards and departments.
* Participate in hospital cover/manager on‑call rotas including weeknights and weekend shifts, where applicable.
* Promote and safeguard the well‑being of patients, employees and visitors by maintaining the highest standards.
* Comply with all mandatory training.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Previous experience in a supervisory position.
* Experience in completing audits.
* Maths and English GCSE at grades A–C, or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
* Proficiency with PC, including software and systems.
