Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a full-time skilled and dedicated teacher to join a specialist school in Durham, starting immediately. The school has young children aged 4 -11, with a diagnosis of autism and who may also have a range of complex learning needs, communication and sensory difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Work closely with support staff and multi-agency teams
Use trauma-informed and behaviour management strategies effectively
Monitor and track student progress, adjusting plans as necessaryThe ideal candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
Experience teaching pupils with ASD, SEMH and additional needs
Strong behaviour management skills
A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach
