Job Description
The Category Development Manager is responsible for delivering commercial results both on brand and private label. You will achieve these targets by mastering category-based selling, transforming marketing plans into selling decks that maximize success with our customers. The scope of the team covers all category groups from Valeo Foods UK. The role is field-based to maximize time with customers and will also involve optimizing marketing plans, acting as an everyday partner to the Sales and Marketing teams.
* Provide leadership to shape, align, and plan. Take ownership & lead category projects.
* Demonstrate commercial acumen by understanding the influence of category KPIs and making astute decisions.
* Show collaboration skills by energizing stakeholders and building relationships.

* Strong selling skills with mastery of a compelling category-based selling method.
* Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal.
* Experience in FMCG category management.
* Experience leading and influencing retailer category reviews.
* Experience in building collaborative retailer relationships and influencing decisions.
* Experience utilizing data tools like Nielsen, Circana, Kantar, dunnhumby.
* Experience influencing and shaping marketing plans.
* Proven track record of creating strategic change to shape business results.
