About the Role
This is a field-based sales and business development position within the fastener and fixings industry, targeting customers across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing client relationships and developing new business opportunities through face-to-face engagement and strategic sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Regularly visit existing customers to maintain and grow sales
* Identify and convert new prospects to increase market share
* Understand customer applications and recommend suitable products
* Provide technical support and product training to contractors and third parties
* Collaborate with product management to identify range gaps and develop new solutions
* Deliver strategic proposals to potential clients and partners
* Liaise with marketing and sales teams to communicate market trends
* Maintain and monitor quotation logs and sales funnels
* Resolve customer queries efficiently and professionally
Required Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in selling fasteners or fixings
* Existing network of industry contacts is advantageous
* Strong attention to detail and project management skills
* Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Commercially astute, self-motivated, and ambitious
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Flexible, organized, and capable of multitasking
