Job Description
Safran Seats GB is proud to announce the launch of its 2025 Apprenticeship recruitment campaign. This year we have a number of Operations and Quality Improvement Apprenticeship opportunities available.
Safran Seats is an industry award-winning designer and manufacturer of First and Business Class seating and technology. Our passenger experience emphasizes innovation, customization, quality, and industrial design.
At Safran Seats, we uniquely interface with both the world's biggest airlines and airframers, offering the largest seats portfolio among seat suppliers. One day, you could be dealing with a major airframe manufacturer, and the next, with leading airline brands worldwide.
In the UK, Safran Seats specializes in First and Business Class seating markets for wide-body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams based in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales.
What is an Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are government-funded, work-based training programs for individuals aged 16 and above (no upper age limit), combining on-the-job training with a nationally recognized qualification. The Welsh Government supports training costs, working with approved providers like Newport and District Group Training Association (NDGTA).
The apprenticeships at Safran Seats include:
* Advanced level apprenticeships leading to a BTEC and NVQ Level 3.
The role aims to assure product quality throughout its lifecycle at Safran Seats GB. The apprentice will support product lifecycle quality assurance, ensuring processes and procedures related to product quality are followed during manufacturing.
Complementary Description
What will I be doing as an Apprentice?
Your starting point depends on your entry level. If you start on a BTEC Level 3, your first year involves full-time college from September to July, then onsite work with one day/week college during term time to complete your qualification. During onsite work, you'll rotate through departments related to your discipline, gaining knowledge and skills aligned with your assessments.

* A keen interest in quality and engineering, with a methodical approach.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work well independently and in a team.
Ideally, candidates will have achieved or expect to achieve at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Math and English (Grade A-C or 4-9), Science, and a technology subject.
