Koin Limited is the UK’s fastest growing collectable company, selling coins and commemoratives to a wide range of collectors and fan bases through its B2C arm, The Koin Club, and to selected partners through its B2B arm, Koin Wholesale. Koin partners with some of the world’s most recognisable brands such as Disney, Star Wars, and Elf on the Shelf to design, develop, and create officially licensed collectible products, available as one-off items and monthly subscriptions.
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels by analysing sales data and accurately forecasting demand. The role requires confidence in working with numbers and data, experience in raising purchase orders for new SKUs and replenishment stock, and a good understanding of working with external suppliers and managing the purchasing side of the supply chain.
Core Responsibilities include:
1. Full management of all product purchasing for The Koin Club, ensuring optimum inventory levels at all times
2. Approving purchase orders and liaising with external suppliers to ensure timely stock delivery
3. Collaborating with external suppliers on new products and expanding product ranges
4. Negotiating pricing and minimum order quantities (MoQs)
5. Working with Marketing and Sales to gather forecast requirements for new items
6. Using sales data to forecast ongoing stock replenishment needs
7. Identifying slow-moving or sell-through issues and communicating with relevant sales channels
8. Managing discontinued lines
9. Reporting on KPIs related to inventory and stock holding
10. Managing stock levels across multiple locations or warehouses
11. Managing subscription stock levels
Key Skills Required:
1. At least 3 years of experience in a purchasing role or similar
2. Line management experience (1 direct report)
3. Strong analytical skills, with GCSE Maths grade B or above
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
5. Meticulous attention to detail
6. Highly organized
7. Good commercial awareness
8. Confidence in dealing with suppliers
9. Understanding of subscription models (desirable but not essential)
10. Experience managing multiple warehouses (preferred)
