SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time, Permanent

We are working with a highly respected specialist provision in Street, Somerset, currently seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team immediately.
This inclusive setting supports pupils aged 4 to 18 with a range of additional needs including autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), communication and interaction needs, sensory processing differences and associated behavioural challenges. The school is known for its nurturing ethos, strong teamwork and commitment to equipping young people with essential life skills. The Role
Hours: 8.40am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (term time)
* Providing 1:1 and small group support
* Promoting communication, independence and social skills
* Supporting personalised learning programmes
* Assisting with personal care where required
* Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
* Working closely with teachers, therapists and families
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths
* Patience, flexibility and a genuine passion for inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
