Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Redcar and Cleveland
Salary: £100 – £130 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
GSL Education are looking for confident, motivated, and adaptable Cover Supervisor (CS) to work across welcoming school in the Redcar and Cleveland area. This rewarding role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting young people and gaining valuable classroom experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged, on-task, and supported throughout their lessons.
Your Role as a Cover Supervisor (CS) Will Include:
* Managing the classroom and delivering pre-prepared lesson materials.
* Supporting students with their learning and behaviour.
* Ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Encouraging good behaviour and maintaining classroom expectations.
* Always following safeguarding and school policies.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience working with young people (schools, coaching, tutoring, youth work etc.).
* Strong communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
* Confidence leading a classroom and building positive relationships.
* A proactive, flexible, and calm approach to daily challenges.
* A degree or relevant qualification (preferred but not essential).
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
