Position Overview
As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our controller to ensure our equipment operates at peak performance. Your role will involve:
* Timely and efficient routine maintenance to maximize equipment availability.
* Identifying potential issues that could affect performance.
* Carrying out minor repairs as needed.
* Being a safety ambassador, ensuring all work promotes safety for yourself and our customers.
What You’ll Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Preventative Maintenance Servicing: Conduct routine servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines (75%)
* Machine Inspection: Perform visual and mechanical analyses to identify developing issues (20%)
* Minor Repairs: Complete minor repairs and installations as identified (5%)
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A basic knowledge of Engines, Hydraulics, Powertrain, and Vehicle Electrics/Electronics.
* Experience in a related engineering function (around 3 years) or a formal apprenticeship qualification.
* A full driving license held for at least 2 years (subject to DVLA check).
Working Conditions
This is a field-based role with a working pattern of Monday to Friday, including one Saturday every three weeks at an overtime rate. You’ll enjoy flexible start and finish times, working a total of 43 hours per week.
