We are seeking a Financial Account Manager to join our growing Client Services team. This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives on building relationships, managing accounts, and ensuring the financial health and satisfaction of clients. The Role As a Financial Account Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for managing financial accounts, providing strategic advice, and ensuring all deliverables are met accurately and on time. Your day-to-day work will include overseeing client accounts, analyzing financial performance, preparing reports, and identifying opportunities for growth and improved profitability. You will work closely with the internal Finance, Compliance, and Investment teams to deliver excellent client service and maintain the highest standards of regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of 20-30 corporate and high-net-worth clients, ensuring all financial and service objectives are met. Prepare, review, and present detailed financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and performance analysis. Act as the main liaison between clients and internal teams, addressing queries, issues, and requests promptly. Provide strategic financial advice, including cost-saving initiatives, investment strategies, and risk management recommendations. Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across our services, contributing to revenue growth. Oversee account reconciliations, invoicing, and payment schedules, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Monitor client account performance, proactively addressing underperformance or areas of concern. Ensure compliance with FCA regulations, GDPR, and internal company policies at all times. Assist in onboarding new clients, including drafting contracts, conducting financial due diligence, and setting up accounts. Collaborate with the Business Development team to prepare client pitches, proposals, and renewal strategies. Qualifications & Skills Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CFA qualification preferred). Experience: Minimum 4 years’ experience in account management or financial services (ideally with exposure to both corporate and private clients). Excellent knowledge of financial reporting, account reconciliation, and budgeting. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in financial services (FCA knowledge advantageous). Proficient in using financial software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or SAP, as well as advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling). Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Commercially driven with the ability to spot opportunities and add value to client accounts.
