This school has children with needs ranging from ASD, MLD, behavioural issues and PMLD/complex needs. You will be working in a purpose built secondary and sixth form site with small groups and excellent facilities. Work could vary from whole class supporting roles or providing one to one support to pupils with SEND.
Experience in supporting children with any of the above needs would be an advantage but is not essential - a willingness to learn and engage with SEN children is the most important quality we are looking for.
Ideally you will hold a level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or above but other qualifications such as a degree in Psychology or Education Studies are also acceptable. Posts vary from short term to long term but we require staff that are flexible and willing to learn from experienced staff at the school.
In addition, you must:
 1. Provide two referees we can contact
 2. Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one
Please note that the rate of pay will be dependent on the level of qualification you have achieved and the amount of experience you have to date.
