We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate Chef Lecturer to join a leading college in Birmingham. This temporary role is an excellent chance to impart your culinary skills and knowledge to aspiring chefs at levels 1-3.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
* Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
* Facilitate learning through a variety of methods, including demonstrations, lectures, and practical sessions.
* Assess and evaluate students’ progress effectively using both formative and summative assessments.
* Maintain discipline in accordance with the college rules and disciplinary systems.
* Participate in departmental and college meetings, parent meetings, and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
* Stay updated with current industry practices and culinary techniques.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Professional culinary qualification or equivalent.
* A Teaching Qualification or previous teaching experience
* Proven experience as a chef with a strong background in the culinary arts.
* Previous teaching experience in a culinary setting is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students.
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
