Turner Schools is looking to recruit a Theatre andCreative Arts Technician to join our friendly and ambitious Creative Arts Team starting in September 2025. At Turner Schools we believe passionately in the power of creative arts to enrich the lives of the pupils we serve and work hard to build strong links with the local creative arts community.
We require a Technician who will support the Trust Director of Creatives Arts and the logistical running of creative arts departments enabling the highest quality lessons and events/performances. We are looking for someone who is efficient, organised, willing to learn and able to use initiative.
The ideal candidate will…
* be a passionate creative arts practitioner (Art/Music) dedicated to making the creative arts accessible to young people
* possess the drive and determination to assist pupils in breaking down barriers inside and outside of education
* value our respectful environment, ensuring that pupils and colleagues alike respect and support each other to ensure a calm and purposeful sites
* be confident in developing and delivering organisational systems which enhances the capacity of teaching staff to deliver ambitious curriculums
* Be adaptable and willing to learn outside of their specialism to deliver exciting events such as workshops, exhibitions and performances.
* Take responsibility for maintaining and creating creative arts displays
* Lead on light and sound in theatre spaces and for other events across Trust.
