SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Reception/EYFS Location: Eastcroft Park, Kirkby Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Full-time, Term-time Pay Rate: £13.75 - £15.25 per hour (depending on experience) About the Role We are seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a young boy in Reception/EYFS who is pre-verbal and autistic. Your role will involve: Providing tailored 1:1 support to meet his individual needs. Assisting with communication strategies, sensory regulation, and social interaction. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans. Encouraging independence and fostering a positive learning environment. Ideal Candidate Experience supporting children with autism and communication difficulties (preferred). Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to meet the child’s needs. Knowledge of EYFS curriculum and strategies for SEN support. Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents. Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training.
