Senior Mechanical Estimator
My client is a leading National M&E contractor who is looking for a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join its North East team, focusing on high-profile, technically complex mechanical and electrical projects across multiple sectors. Senior Estimators are a valuable part of the business, effectively utilizing experience and knowledge within a team to produce tenders and prepare competitive estimates. You will be a standalone estimator working alongside the North East pre‑construction team, with opportunity to progress to Estimating Manager and beyond in time.
Responsibilities
* Ensure that all estimating processes and procedures are followed to deliver a submission following tender settlement.
* Work with surveyors in preparation of quantified schedule of rates and bill of quantities.
* Prepare tender summaries and attend start‑up pre‑price and price meetings.
* Assist in preparation for settlement meetings, enquiring whether risk register, prelims and labour rates have been done.
