An established and fast?growing IFA firm in Cranleigh, Surrey is looking to appoint a Trainee Financial Adviser to join their expanding team. With a very strong client flow and more demand than their current adviser capacity, this is an excellent opportunity for someone with paraplanning or IFA support experience whos ready to step into an advice role.
Youll work closely with a Senior Financial Planner, gaining hands?on exposure to the full advice process while developing your technical, relationship?building and financial planning skills.
The Opportunity
1. Shadow a highly experienced Senior Adviser and learn the full end?to?end advice process
2. Step into an advice role with clients ready to service from day one
3. Clear progression pathway with full support to grow into a fully qualified Financial Planner
4. No client travel required all clients come to the office
5. Hybrid flexibility: 4 days in the office, 1 from home
Key Responsibilities
6. Support your Financial Planner in delivering holistic, personalised financial advice
7. Undertake technical research and assist with preparing financial planning recommendations
8. Analyse portfolios, undertake benchmarking, rebalancing and portfolio maintenance
9. Prepare for and attend client meetings, building relationships and supporting client queries
10. Compile cashflow models and analyse client financial data
11. Liaise with product providers and third parties
12. Ensure exceptional customer experience with proactive communication
13. Delegate tasks to the admin team and maintain high service standards
14. Follow all regulatory and compliance processes
15. Contribute to internal best?practice improvements
What Were Looking For
16. 18+ months experience in paraplanning or technical IFA support
17. Level 4 Diploma (DipPFS) strongly preferred
18. Knowledge across investments, pensions, protection, taxation, estate planning
19. Strong analytical and numerical skills; comfortable with technology
20. Excellent attention to detail and workflow management
21. Warm, client?focused communicator and collaborative team player
22. Experience with Intelligent Office and/or cashflow modelling software (advantageous)
23. Keen to pursue further qualifications (Chartered support available)
