The role
The role supports the delivery of robust financial control for the SSE Group Services entities, which provide essential corporate functions such as Legal, HR, Facilities Management, and IT services to the SSE Group and its business units.
You will
* Prepare transactions and month end reporting, providing clear and insightful commentary on operational and capital expenditure.
* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and operate key financial controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.
* Manage the fixed asset subledger and project accounting processes, including IFRS 16 lease accounting and period-end financial disclosures.
* Assist in the statutory audit process for both Group and subsidiary financial statements.
* Contribute to the preparation of subsidiary statutory financial statements.
You have
* A qualification with a professional accounting body (e.g. ICAS, ACCA or CIMA).
* The ability to effectively plan, organise, and prioritise tasks and activities to maximise productivity.
* Experience with accurately processing information with precision and minimal errors.
* The drive to explore and gain a deeper understanding of the role and industry by asking insightful questions, seeking innovative solutions to challenges, and continually learning.
