Description
McCann Birmingham are searching for a seasoned Senior Account Manager to join our team. As a pivotal figure within our Business Leadership division, you will collaborate closely with our creative and strategic teams to orchestrate fully integrated marketing initiatives for a major transport brand.
In your role as Senior Account Manager, a background in marketing/advertising agency operations is essential. However, what truly sets you apart is your proactive approach. You possess an impressive track record of executing campaigns proficiently across various platforms, from conceptualization to implementation, both online and offline. As Senior Account Manager, you will be the lynchpin for the client relationship, leading key projects, developing accurate scopes and estimates alongside sound forecasting.
We're looking for someone who is adept at working at pace, overseeing multiple projects under demanding conditions, and your knack for team coordination and ensuring seamless operations make you an invaluable asset. Experience working alongside a creative department, coupled with strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail, further solidify your suitability for this role.

1. Detail: you’re all over it, all of the time. Detail, detail, detail. Clearly applied in presentations, reviews, documentation and reporting ensuring all work and that of the team is produced to the highest quality
2. Great under pressure, you can keep multiple plates spinning and are calm when the deadlines come at you
3. You will have worked within agencies (or client side), ideally on fast turnaround accounts where you have gained integrated marketing experience
4. Digital skills and CRM knowledge are advantageous
5. Strong collaboration and client management skills - you build relationships that last with ease and client can trust and rely upon you. You can also form strong internal relationships as collaboration across departments is key
6. Understand the marketing channel mix and how to implement highly successful, integrated campaigns
7. Well organised and able to use initiative to prioritise workloads and those of your team
8. Have some experience of managing others eg Account Managers and/or Account Executives and are collaborative and team-orientated
9. Possess a level of maturity and common sense to work through problems and proactively suggest solutions
10. Literate and numerate. That means you write well (including in your job application), and have great commercial acumen
11. You can distill large amounts of information into key insights for client and keep abreast of trends and the client’s competition
12. Overall you are bright, enthusiastic and a strong team player
