South Lanarkshire Council delivers a wide range of services that touch all communities and households in South Lanarkshire. \nRoads, Transportation and Fleet is one of five services within Community and Enterprise Resources, they are responsible for a wide range of services throughout South Lanarkshire, and they are looking for Road Operative Modern Apprentices to join their team.\nBecoming a Modern Apprentice will give you the opportunity to develop a career within Community and Enterprise Resources and be trained to the appropriate National Standard through on and off the job training and experience.\n\nWe are looking for people who can demonstrate a commitment to their own learning, as the successful candidates will be given the opportunity to become a qualified Road Operative. \n\nWe are offering Road Operative Modern Apprenticeship vacancies in the following Depots:-\nLesmahagow, Carnwath, Hawbank Road in East Kilbride, and Canderside in Larkhall \nThese opportunities are for trainees and therefore do not require you to have any experience in your chosen field, or qualifications. \n\nWe need you to check that you meet the essential criteria as detailed on the Job Profile. The essential criteria will be checked and any candidate found not meeting the criteria will be withdrawn from the process. \n\nIf you meet the essential criteria, please complete the application form providing all the information as requested.\n\nPlease provide answers to the following questions. We dont ask form qualifications. However we do require applicants to meet the essential criteria detailed on the job profile.\nWe are looking for people who can demonstrate a willingness to learn.
