The General Dental Council (GDC) is the statutory body responsible for regulating dental professionals in the UK.
Due to an internal move, we have an exciting opportunity in our In-house Legal Services Team. We are looking for a Lawyer to join the team on a fixed term basis. Our Lawyers conduct a substantial caseload of fitness to practise cases, including complex cases, and ensure cases are prepared for presentation before one of the GDC’s statutory committees in a timely and cost-effective manner.
The role:
1. Manage a substantial caseload of fitness to practise cases, including associated Court proceedings, under the supervision of the Senior Lawyers.
2. Draft detailed case plans, estimating the resources and time required to prepare for a hearing, and determining the evidence required to support a case.
