Responsibilities
* Development of technical solutions and coordinating work with multi-disciplinary teams Process, Civil and Mechanical)
* Production of technical reports and the ability to work independently and as a team member to carry out checking, reviews and approval of complex electrical detailed designs, to include calculations, specifications, reports and drawings.
* Analysis of options and selection of technical solutions as appropriate.
* Ensuring contractors designs comply with the latest company specifications and other relevant industry specifications (Wimes, IET wiring regulations etc.) and legislations.
* Development of outline scheme designs
* Assistance in preparation of scheme programmes, estimates and tender documentation

Although this role offers flexible/hybrid working (office/home), you will be expected to travel to any location or site within South East Water's supply areas, as required, as part of the project(s) you are working on eg pre-construction and construction phase elements such as scoping or Contractor progress/design review meetings, defect reviews etc.,
Qualifications
* HNC or a Degree in Engineering or equivalent training in the relevant area.
* Working towards becoming an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer with the IET.
* Extensive experience in water utilities would be advantageous.
* Ability to work closely with others.
* Technically competent knowing when to refer to others when required.
* Good technical report writing and editorial skills, and good oral communication.
* Detailed knowledge of PLC systems, HMI's, Variable Speed Drives, Harmonic filtration, data networks, telemetry systems and Standby Generator systems.
* Competent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - knowledge of Google Workspace would be beneficial.
