We are looking for an upbeat and empathetic Male Support Worker to work with Max, an incredible man in his twenties living very close to Throop Mill - one of his favourite walking spots!

Due to the tailored needs that Max has, we can only consider

male

candidates with experience in

autism

or

complex

care on a

2:1

basis.

The role

Max communicates verbally using short phrases. He also uses PECS cards on his daily board to help understand his plan for the day - this could be when family are visiting or if there are any changes to be aware of.

He thrives with a well-structured daily routine that balances fun, comfort, and personal growth.

Max enjoys different activities, such as: Bouncing on his trampoline Going for a walks in the local area Listening to music Spending regular time with his parents

A day in the life of a Support Worker would include: Sharing your skills and life knowledge with the people we support to enable good life skills and independence when living in the community Maintaining consistent and accurate records regarding care plans, finances, appointments and medication Following the support plan in plan for each person we support to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication

Hours:

21 per week

Shifts will vary between 7am - 10pm Monday to Sunday on a two week rolling rota.

This role would include working alternate weekends and sleep ins (sleep ins come with an additional payment)
