We are seeking to appoint an experienced Pupil Support Officer to work alongside our current friendly and close knit team to support students who are disaffected with school or who have been permanently excluded. You will be required to work in local schools, as part of our Outreach Team, supporting students at their current mainstream school or on a programme to reintegrate students back to school. Previous primary experience is essential and you should have outstanding behaviour management skills. It is essential that candidates are Team Teach trained or willing to undertake training.
Responsibilities
* Support disaffected students and those permanently excluded through outreach work and reintegration programmes.
* Work in local mainstream schools and provide tailored support to individual students.
* Advocate for students and collaborate with school staff to maximise educational outcomes.
* Implement behaviour management strategies and maintain positive learning environments.
Qualifications
* Previous primary experience in a supporting role.
* Outstanding behaviour management skills.
* Team Teach trained or willing to undertake training.
* Own a car and have use of a car for outreach work.
