Are you interested in earning a wage while training to become a Pharmacy Technician?
We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians (PTPTs) to join our pharmacy department at University Hospitals Sussex Trust, based at Worthing or St Richards Hospital in Chichester.
Candidates need a minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C/4 or above, including Maths, English Language, ONE Science (biology, chemistry, physics, or equivalent), and ONE other GCSE. Certificates must be provided before interview for verification. Candidates must also meet Apprenticeship eligibility criteria.

Main duties of the job
Full educational support is provided. You will need to learn new IT systems and embrace technology to provide safe patient care.
You must be committed to achieving the qualification, participating in a rigorous training and competency program. You should demonstrate good work/life/study balance, motivation, and self-discipline.
Your training involves working at Worthing or Chichester hospitals, gaining vocational experience, completing competencies for the Level 3 diploma, and participating in virtual classrooms for knowledge acquisition. You will develop a work-based portfolio, undertake assessments, and complete assignments.
Successful trainees will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council and practice as a registered Pharmacy Technician after completing the training, e-portfolio, and EPA.
The role involves contributing to service delivery on a flexible basis, including weekends, late duties, and bank holidays.
