Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to join our team, specializing in the assembly, wiring, testing, and installation of electrical control panels. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of electrical systems, the ability to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics, and hands-on experience in both panel manufacturing and field installations.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels in accordance with schematics, technical drawings, and specifications.
* Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical panels and related systems.
* Accurately route, terminate, and label wiring in a neat and organized manner.
* Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and internal quality standards.
* Collaborate effectively with engineers and supervisors to meet project design and installation requirements.
* Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and uphold a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
* Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship or equivalent certification.
* Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring methods, and safe work practices.
* Proven ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
* Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
* Familiarity with PLCs, motor controls, and automation systems is considered an asset.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
* Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Skills and Knowledge
DESIRABLE
* Familiarity with motor control systems, PLCs, and automation equipment
* Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or energy sector environments
* Experience working within ISO-certified QHSE frameworks
* Basic mechanical assembly experience (or willingness to assist where needed)
* A strong focus on continual improvement within own self, department and company.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
ESSENTIAL
* Proven experience in panel building and electrical system installation
* Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Excellent cable management skills (crimping, soldering, routing)
* Knowledge of relevant electrical regulations and safety practices
* A positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic
* Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on panels and electrical systems.
EDUCATION
* Completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship
* Strong knowledge of electrical components and wiring methods.
