Salary Range:
£29,432 - £32,286
Your Role: What Will You Be Doing?
As an Employment Specialist, you will work closely with clients facing serious mental health challenges. Your support will be crucial in helping them navigate their journey towards employment. While you will receive comprehensive training, it’s essential to be mindful of the emotional impact this role may have on your own wellbeing.

* Understanding of Mental Health: A strong grasp of the support needs of individuals with mental health conditions, especially in securing and maintaining employment.
* Relevant Experience: Background in health or social care settings, with knowledge of evidence-based employment models like Individual Placement and Support (IPS).
* Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication abilities to engage with clients and build partnerships with external stakeholders.
* Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks, even under tight deadlines.
* Commitment to Policies: Understanding of Health & Safety, Data Protection, Equality & Diversity, and employment law, particularly the Equality Act 2010.
* Empathy and Motivation: A dynamic, self-motivated individual who values the role of employment in mental health recovery.
* Technical Skills: Competence in assessing client needs, developing action plans, and maintaining accurate records using Microsoft Office and relevant databases.
* Willingness to Travel: Flexibility to travel across the designated London Borough and engage in ongoing professional development.
