About our School
Easthorpe School is an independent specialist provision serving children and young people in the East Midlands who live with their families, foster carers or in residential children’s homes.
The school first opened its doors to pupils in November, and we are expanding the team to support the increase in pupil numbers in the Lower School (-yrs) provision.
Class sizes do not exceed pupils and are supported by a qualified class teacher with up to teaching assistants.
Our school supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and a range of diagnoses which may include Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Attachment needs and mild/moderate learning needs.
This job is an excellent opportunity for experienced teaching assistants to help shape the growth and development of our new provision and enrich the lives of our pupils. It offers a chance to develop your skills further in the classroom while also allowing time and support to develop a key area of the school provision suited to your experience and interests (food hygiene, Forest School, sport, therapy, emotional literacy).
We provide high-quality education, adopting a thoughtful and informed approach for each pupil. If you would like to learn more about our school, please visit our website or get in touch.
