We're seeking a pro-active and experienced Ie Officer in North Wales to support our social housing client on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week on a hybrid basis. You will have a minimum office requirement of 2 x days per week, and will be required to carry out face-to-face tenant visits across your area, so will require a driving licence with valid business insurance.
Key responsibilities:
1. Monitor your own caseload of customer rent accounts and identify tenants at risk of arrears
2. Making early contact with tenants to prevent arrears from escalating and offer tenancy sustainment support, negotiating affordable payment plans where possible tailored to individual circumstances
3. Provide guidance on benefit entitlements including UC, signposting to external support agencies where appropriate
4. Liaise with external partners including local authorities and DWP to resolve benefit queries
5. Work collaboratively with internal teams such as Housing and Tenancy Support
6. Attend case reviews and contribute to action plans for sustaining tenancies
What you'll need to succeed
7. Experience in an Ie Recovery/Arrears or Tenancy Sustainment role within social housing
8. A good knowledge of housing, ie management and welfare benefits
9. Strongmunication and negotiation skills
10. Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively
11. Driving licence with valid business insurance and access to own vehicle
