Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to help increase access to Adult Mental Health (AMH) Clinical Psychology and Psychological services in North Wales. You will join a friendly, welcoming NHS secondary care AMH Clinical Psychology & Psychological services Department, with strong clinical and research links with the School of Psychology and the DClinPsych Department at the University of Wales, Bangor.
The post holder will benefit from BCUHB-wide links across North Wales within the BCUHB AMH Clinical Psychology & Psychological Services, with opportunities for research and clinical networking both regionally and nationally. You will be supported, mentored, and managed within the department, with ongoing peer support, supervision, and opportunities for training and career development.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced 8a (Band 7 development post possible) Clinical Psychologist, based full-time in Denbighshire CMHT. This permanent position involves working as part of integrated secondary mental health services for adults with complex and severe mental health needs. The role includes providing specialist psychological input, training, supervision, formulation work, attending MDT meetings, referral meetings (SPOA), and strategic leadership.

Qualifications
Essential:
- Good Honours degree in Psychology, eligible for Chartered status with the BPS
- HCPC Registration as a Clinical Psychologist
- Postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
- Clinical Supervision training for Doctoral trainees
Desirable:
- Advanced training in research design and methodology
Experience
Essential:
- Significant experience in qualified clinical psychology practice
Desirable:
- Knowledge of various therapeutic approaches for mental health assessments and interventions
