Schools across Newcastle upon Tyne are seeking Psychology graduates to work as Learning Support Assistants, supporting pupils with additional learning, behavioural and emotional needs.
This role offers valuable hands-on experience for graduates interested in educational psychology, clinical psychology, mental health, SEND support, teaching or pastoral careers.
You will work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams to help pupils remain engaged, regulated and confident in the classroom.

The Role
As a Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils who require additional help
* Support pupils with SEND including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and anxiety-related needs
* Help pupils remain engaged during lessons
* Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional support strategies
* Deliver targeted intervention sessions where required
* Build positive, professional relationships with pupils
The role combines academic support with pastoral guidance and behaviour management.
