Neuromodulation Nurse - Part time

The Neuromodulation service seeks a hardworking, enthusiastic and genuine band 5 nurse to join a, dynamic and skilled, yet friendly nursing team in a part time role to work in an accredited Neuromodulation Service (Electro-convulsive Therapy (ECT) & Transcranial Magnetic stimulation (TMS) service based at Kingfisher Court mental health unit in Radlett
Skills and experience in a similar a similar healthcare setting would be an advantage, however you will be provided training to develop your skills in ECT and TMS and make a difference to people suffering mental illness who require assessment and treatment. Good IT skills are essential aspect to the role. The service hours are currently on Monday - Friday 7.30 - 15.30. The successful candidate will be required to work 12 hrs 40 mins per week (across 3 shifts) and have the opportunity to join the Bank Bureau and work on the wards and departments within the trust.
We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role due to the part time hours.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will attend training inhouse and external and acquire the skills and experience to work flexibly across all areas of the Neuromodulation service. Support the patient throughout the ECT or TMS care and treatment pathway from assessment to treatment and monitoring. Ensuring that referrals are discussed at the MDT meetings and the patient is support in the most appropriate treatment pathway. Ensure the practice in the ECT and TMS services meets the accepted quality and safety standards in accordance with national and local guidelines. Understanding the ECTAS accreditation standards, and provide a consistent approach to care and treatment for all referred patients. To ensure safe clinical practice takes place and is maintained to Care Quality Commission standards at all times and is in line with the NHS Constitution. To deliver effective and safe services which support the key elements of clinical/practice governance. Focus on supporting the team to introduce ways of continuously improving the quality of their service and safeguarding high standards of care by creating an environment in which excellence will flourish.

Knowledge, Training and Experience
* RNMH/RNLD/RGN with minimum of 1 year experience
* Intermediate Life Support training
* Current membership of NMC
* Basic IT skills, in particular MS word
* Specialist knowledge of ECT, related to theory, efficacy, practices and procedures
* Professional Degree
* Clinical Supervision experience
* Teaching/Training experience
* ECT Foundation course
* Experienced ECT Nurse course
* TMS training
