SRM is preparing for the commencement of a major programme of construction works in Port Talbot, South Wales. The works will involve heavy construction and civil engineering across various industrial fronts over the next 3 to 4 years, starting with enabling works ahead of the main programme beginning in Q3 2025.
If you are an experienced Quantity Surveyor with experience on large multi-million-pound projects, we have a great opportunity for you to join our team in Port Talbot to work on an interesting, complex, and technically challenging project. The project value will exceed £200m and will be undertaken under an NEC contract.

The Quantity Surveyor Role
* Collaborate with the team to develop Work Scope Documents and procure Enabling Work Packages with the Client Procurement Team.
* Manage various commercial aspects, including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and subcontract work packages through to final account.
* Aim to minimize risk and cost while maximizing value through cost checking and analysis of labor, plant, and materials.
Your Profile
* Hold a degree in BSc Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, or equivalent experience/memberships.
* Have construction industry experience managing large projects valued over £100m.
* Preferably have experience in large-scale industrial or civil engineering projects.
* Experience working on Construction Management Projects.
* Experience with an NEC Form of Contract.
