Your Role
As an Infrastructure and Facilities Specialist Electrical Engineer, you will be a key player in our team, overseeing the operation and governance of High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) Electrical Engineering across our large industrial and manufacturing sites.
In this role, you will:
* Work on HV and LV networks, aiming to achieve Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status.
* Develop project scopes and specifications for HV and LV electrical projects.
* Occasionally travel within the UK and overseas for training and site visits.
Core Duties
* Design and review power system studies, including fault, load flow, protection, and arc flash studies.
* Support the development of cross-site engineering standards and processes.
* Audit designs against legislation, standards, and company policies.
* Produce and amend Electrical Safety Management documents.
* Conduct audits of internal and external service providers.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Experience in designing and planning HV and LV distribution networks.
* A minimum of HNC/HND in an Electrically biased subject; a degree is preferred.
* Familiarity with electrical engineering standards.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
About Our Team
The BAE Systems AIR Electrical Operations and Governance team is responsible for the electrical distribution networks across our sites, primarily in Warton and Samlesbury. You’ll provide technical and operational support, contributing to exciting projects that may involve expanding and redesigning our 6,600V electrical distribution network.
