An established regional law firm is seeking an experienced Head of Employment to lead and develop its Employment team while maintaining a fee-earning caseload. This is a senior role ideal for a solicitor with entrepreneurial flair, a strong track record in employment law [and ambition to progress towards partnership.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor and develop the Employment team
* Provide high-quality, commercially focused employment advice to clients
* Manage the department's financial performance, including billing and WIP
* Oversee efficient handling of all employment matters
* Maintain client communication throughout the lifecycle of matters
* Contribute to the strategic growth and management of the firm
Requirements:
* Qualified solicitor with 5+ years PQE in Employment Law
* Experience handling Employment Tribunal cases
* Ability to run a caseload independently
* Strong technical, drafting and client management skills
* Ambitious, commercially minded and client-focused
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
