Lower Johnshill Care Home in Lesmahagow, Lanark are currently seeking a care assistant to work full or part time hours on a permanent basis.
Lower Johnshill Care Home is set within the stunning Auchlochan Garden Village near Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire, delivering around-the-clock personalised residential, nursing and dementia care. With beautiful views of the 50-acre garden village estate, a highly trained care team and our very own beauty room.
The ideal candidate will play an essential part in supporting the well-being and quality of life of each individual in your care, you will be responsible to promote as much independence for our residents as possible and treat all residents with understanding and dignity.

* SVQ Level 2 in Care (desirable but not necessary)

Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up
- Escort clients to appointments or social outings
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the supervisor
Experience:
- Previous experience as a care assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and procedures
- Familiarity with safety precautions and infection control measures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
