Overview
This multi-skilled role provides an effective, patient-focused service in the delivery of administration and portering within the Physiotherapy Department at St Leonards Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Act as a first point of contact on the telephone or face to face for patients, visitors and other healthcare professionals, providing a positive and responsive point of contact on behalf of the Physiotherapy Department and Trust during opening hours.
* Provide an effective, efficient reception and administration service to patients and other visitors to the department.
* Utilise clinic capacity to ensure patients are not waiting longer than the Trust's guidelines for their appointment.
* Provide appropriate portering services to support patient care and hospital operations.
* Support all other teams within St Leonards Hospital as required.
* Monitor certain areas of the building to ensure the safety of staff working within the hospital.
Qualifications / Skills
* Good clerical, organisational, communication and people skills are required.
