We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our clients FMCG engineering team and play a key role in keeping our production facility running efficiently, safely, and reliably.This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern automated equipment within a continuous manufacturing environment, where your technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and proactive mindset will directly contribute to operational performance.As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of process, packaging, and site equipment. Working both independently and as part of a skilled engineering team, you will help ensure minimal downtime and maximum production efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance across production and site equipmentDiagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on processing machinery, packaging equipment, and utilitiesRespond quickly to breakdowns and equipment failures to minimise disruption to productionSupport the installation, commissioning, and repair of plant machinery and facilitiesPerform workshop duties, including machine repairs and component fabricationAssist manufacturing teams with line adjustments, changeovers, and technical supportIdentify and implement engineering improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtimeMaintain accurate engineering documentation and maintenance recordsWork collaboratively with external contractors and engineering partners on site projectsTrain and support colleagues on the safe use and maintenance of equipmentThe PersonEngineering qualification such as HNC or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled EngineeringExperience working in a high-speed automated manufacturing environment (ideally FMCG or food production)Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systemsExperience with automated machinery, packaging equipment, and site servicesAbility to work independently and prioritise workload effectivelyStrong commitment to health and safetyDesirable:Experience with integrated control systemsKnowledge of automatic packaging and palletising systemsFamiliarity with AC drives and/or servo drive systemsImportant Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
