Technical Assurance Manager - Banking Hubs Location: Various Banking Hub locations (Multi-site role) Core Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (3 days site visits, 2 days office-based) Reporting To: National Account Director JLL Workplace Management is seeking a Technical Assurance Manager to carry out building inspections and technical assessments across our Banking Hub portfolio. This role involves traveling to different Banking Hub locations 3 days per week to conduct basic technical checks and inspections, with 2 days per week dedicated to report writing and data analysis from a home/office base. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Site-Based Activities (3 days per week): • Conduct systematic basic building inspections across assigned Banking Hub locations, focusing on building services performance and compliance requirements • Perform routine technical checks of electrical installations, mechanical plant, fire safety systems, and environmental controls • Execute basic condition assessments of building fabric elements, identifying visible defects, maintenance needs, and potential operational risks • Carry out compliance checks ensuring adherence to banking regulations, health and safety legislation, and basic security requirements • Conduct routine inspections of UPS systems, standby generators, battery backup systems, and critical power infrastructure • Perform basic assessments of HVAC systems, server room environments, and temperature-critical areas • Inspect security systems including CCTV, access control, and physical security measures • Carry out fire safety checks and basic assessments of fire detection and suppression systems • Conduct building services checks including water systems, drainage, lifts, and emergency lighting • Execute planned inspection schedules using mobile technology and CAFM systems to capture real-time data and photographic evidence • Perform basic post-maintenance inspections to verify work completion and identify any immediate concerns • Conduct routine energy efficiency checks and basic sustainability assessments Office-Based Activities (2 days per week): • Compile comprehensive technical inspection reports based on site findings and observations • Upload and organize inspection data, photographs, and documentation into JLL systems • Analyze inspection findings and prepare recommendations for maintenance actions and improvements • Coordinate with site teams and Contract Delivery Managers regarding inspection outcomes • Prepare client reports and compliance documentation based on inspection activities • Update CAFM systems with inspection results and maintenance recommendations • Review and analyze trends across multiple Banking Hub locations • Prepare monthly and quarterly inspection summary reports for senior management • Coordinate follow-up actions with relevant teams based on inspection findings • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes Essential Qualifications & Experience: • Mechanical or Electrical engineering background with relevant qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent trade qualification) • Understanding of building fabric services including structural elements, roofing, windows, and building envelope systems • Minimum 3 years' experience conducting building inspections or technical assessments in commercial environments • Basic knowledge of building services including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems • Experience with critical infrastructure preferably in regulated environments such as financial services • Proficiency with mobile inspection technology and data capture systems • Strong report writing skills with ability to document findings clearly and accurately • Basic understanding of compliance requirements including health and safety and building regulations • Full UK driving licence with commitment to regular travel across Banking Hub locations • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite and mobile applications Desirable Qualifications: • Building fabric inspection experience • Basic electrical testing knowledge • Fire safety awareness training • Asbestos awareness certification • Water risk assessment (L8) awareness • CSCS Card or equivalent • First Aid certification Key Inspection Focus Areas: • Building fabric and envelope systems • Electrical installations and distribution • Mechanical plant and HVAC systems • Critical power and backup systems • Fire detection and safety systems • Security and access control • Water systems and compliance • Environmental controls and monitoring • Basic structural and maintenance observations This is an excellent opportunity to join JLL Workplace Management's Banking Hub team, conducting essential technical inspections across financial facilities while developing expertise in critical infrastructure management and compliance within the banking sector.
