Position Overview
To provide flexible support to the Premises Team in maintaining the school site, ensuring it remains clean, safe, and secure. The postholder will assist with event setup, lettings, and routine maintenance tasks on an ad‑hoc basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with opening, closing, and securing the school site.
* Set up rooms and halls for events, exams, and lettings, ensuring facilities are ready for use.
* Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning duties as directed.
* Support the Premises Team in maintaining a safe and tidy site environment.
* Report any health and safety concerns or maintenance issues promptly.
* Provide occasional cover during staff absence or busy periods.
* Maintain professional conduct and act as an ambassador for the school during community lettings.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in caretaking, site maintenance, or cleaning (school experience desirable).
* Practical and reliable, with good attention to detail.
* Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
* Good communication skills and a helpful, team‑focused attitude.
* Commitment to safeguarding and health and safety standards.
Employment Details

Contract: Casual, as required (including evenings, weekends, and school events)
Salary: £16 p/hour
