About The Role This is a full‑time position of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that residents will love.
Assist and prepare cakes for the morning tea trolley and lunch time dessert/cakes.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene.
Monitor food supplies and fridge/freezer temperatures.
Train new starters on equipment use and demonstrate kitchen procedures.
Clean up spills and ensure the kitchen remains safe and neat.
Always put resident well‑being first in every task.
Qualifications and Experience
Kitchen experience and familiarity with the Food Safety Act 1990, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR and COSHH regulations.
Excellent record‑keeping, organisational and recipe‑following skills.
Strong communication skills and a genuine, considerate, and kind approach to residents and co‑workers.
