Teaching Assistant (SEND) - TA1
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team and support a student with special educational needs. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies, foster the student's independence and social-emotional well-being, and ensure their active participation and progress in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies that cater to the child's specific needs and abilities.
Support the student with learning, daily routines, emotional regulation, and social interactions to foster their independence and social-emotional well-being.
Use structured interventions to enhance the child's learning and engagement in the classroom.
Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt and differentiate lesson plans and resources to ensure the child can actively participate and make progress.
Monitor the child's progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO to inform future planning and support.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
A relevant qualification in teaching, learning support, or a related field is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with the student, teachers, and parents.
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting the unique needs of the child.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
