We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to help us lead our team to develop exceptional person-centred support services to individuals with complex communication needs.
As a Supervisor within our Supported Living Services in Dundee your role would be focussing on developing our staff team members within their roles.
Working directly on shift and offering practical hands on support you will develop practice that meets the needs of the people that we support, allows them to find and plan opportunities and achieve their goals and ambitions.
With a focus on practice, you will also work closely with the Practice Locality Manager to provide practice based support and sessions with the staff team, supervisions and you will ensure teams regularly re-view individuals packages of care to ensure they are proactive and forward thinking.

About the Services
We are currently looking for supervisors for our Walton Mill and Tullideph Service, over both services we supports 12 adults, 10 males and 2 females within their own tenancies. The needs of the people supported are unique to them but do include Learning Disabilities, Autism and Aspergers Syndrome, Epilepsy, ADHD, Diabetes, Bi-Polar Disorder, Deafblind and Hearing Impairment. Each service is bespoke to the individual, with a focus on their priorities, likes and interests and ambitions.
We work closely with families, guardians and social work and ensure that any change to support or event is reported and reviewed appropriately.
Current shift patterns and staffing ratio:
Shift start and finish times vary depending on the needs of individuals supported. The predominant shift pattern incorporates an early shift, a late shift and a night shift within the core building. One Tullideph service requires three wakening nights and one sleepover per night, and our Walton Mill service requires two sleepovers per evening. Supervisors also have a portion of their hours based in the office to allow the opportunity to provide formal and informal practice based support and supervision to members of the staff team.
About you
You will have experience working directly with individuals who have complex care and communication needs and will be a natural leader who can motivate and guide colleagues, always striving to deliver person-centred care and set a strong example of best practices in social care.
This role could be perfect for you if:
* You have an SVQ Level 3 in Social Care (or a qualification recognised by the SSSC for registration purposes).
* You are flexible, able to work across a range of shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
* You possess strong IT and organisational skills to manage office tasks efficiently.
* You have a deep understanding and experience of person-centred practice.
* You are skilled in coaching and mentoring colleagues to foster their development.
* You have exceptional communication skills, especially in conveying complex and sensitive information.
