About the role
Location: Flexible UK – ideal location would be around the Midlands as there is a regular travel requirement across our network covering the whole of the UK, with potential occasional overseas travel
Salary: circa £50,000
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for Project Engineers to drive the future of automation owning the full life cycle from concept to commissioning. In this role, you’ll design innovative automation solutions, lead their delivery from the drawing board to the warehouse floor, test systems to ensure performance and reliability, and seamlessly hand them over to site for real-world operation.
You’ll be the critical link between ideas and execution—coordinating, problem solving, and turning designs into fully functioning automated systems that make an impact throughout our operations.

What You'll Be Doing
10. Ensure all technology and building designs meet engineering standards and drive our Net Zero Carbon goals
11. Support the Lead Engineering Manager through feasibility, concept, Request for information and tender stages, delivering projects on time, on budget and to standard
12. Oversee flawless installation delivery by technical suppliers and building contractors
13. Keep site engineering teams informed and engaged with clear, regular project updates
14. Plan and coordinate training to equip site engineers to maintain and overhaul new installations with confidence
What We’re Looking For
15. Extensive experience within an FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, Construction or Logistics company
16. Experienced in project management and delivery
17. Engineering qualification and/or experience in a similar role
18. Demonstrable analysis and problem-solving capabilities
19. Good presentation, communication, and strong decision-making skills
20. Highly motivated by the challenge of continuous improvement and value engineering required for project delivery
21. Self-motivated individual who champions breakthrough ideas and initiatives - confronts & works to resolve tough issues
22. Effective and clear communication (written & verbal) to influence peer group/senior management
23. Proficient with MS Office & ability to read / interpret drawings, generation of AutoCAD drawings an advantage
